If you have a very high ceiling, then a standard sized shower curtain would fall several inches short. Truncated shower curtains do not look good at all. Moreover, they give a peek into the interior of your bath area. If you have a not-so-attractive bathtub, then exposing it would not be a very good idea. Thus, installing extra long shower curtains would hide all the displeasing accessories and design components such as plumbing fixtures, shower heads, etc. They are ideal if you want them to hang from ceiling rather than wall brackets. This way, they completely mask the shower area and help in retaining steam better.
Shower stalls are a fairly common bathroom fixture in our times, most probably because we are just too busy to have a leisurely bath in a bathtub nowadays. Turn on the shower, have a quick splash and get on with your business - this seems to be the norm of our morning. These stalls, also known as shower enclosures are simply cubicles with a shower attachment in them, which are large enough to accommodate one standing person in them. They can be easily installed in any area of the bathroom.
When it comes to use and applicability, polyester curtains are very much similar to vinyl curtains. 100% polyester is waterproof and easily washable (can be washed in a machine). It does not require any maintenance. On the other hand, you can also consider going for shower curtains made partly of cotton and partly of polyester. These curtains are perfectly suitable for contemporary as well as traditional decor. Vinyl and plastic shower curtains are suited for high-traffic bathrooms.
